Sana Sayyad (born 29 October ) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi television.

Biography of mahatma gandhi Sana Sayyad was born in 29 October (Age: 28 Years, as in ) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She completed her schooling at S.C.D. Barfiwala High School, Mumbai, and completed Her graduation.

Sayyad is best known for her portrayal of Drishti Sharma Shergill in Divya Drishti, Sejal Kotadia Nanda in Spy Bahu[3] and Dr. Palki Khurana in Kundali Bhagya.[4]

Early life

Sayyad was born on 29 October in Mumbai, Maharashtra.[1] Sayyad's father, Yaquib Sayyad, works in the Merchant Navy.[5] She did her schooling from S.C.D.

Barfiwala High School, Mumbai and went to Mithibai Motiram Kundnani College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai to pursue her graduation.

Personal life

Sayyad revealed in February , that she is dating entrepreneur Imaad Shamsi.[6][7] Sayyad married Shamsi on 25 June in an intimate Nikaah ceremony.[8]

After quitting Kundali Bhagya in May owing to her pregnancy, Sayyad officially announced pregnancy with her husband Imaad in September and revealed about her due date being October [9][10][11] The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter Imaan, on 9 October [12][13][14]

Career

Debut and early work (–)

Sayyad started her career in by participating in MTV Splitsvilla 8, where she finished as the runner-up with Utkarsh Gupta.[15] In , she made her acting debut with Boyz Will Be Boyz, portraying Ashita opposite Ashwini Koul.[16] She then portrayed Avanti in Yeh Hai Aashiqui Sun Yaar Try Maar opposite Shehzad Shaikh, the same year.[17]

In , she appeared in Star Plus's soap opera Jaana Na Dil Se Door portrayed as Aditi Vashisht[18][19] and same year she played as Megha in romantic television series MTV Girls on Top.[20]

Later, she was seen as Manisha in an episode role in Sony Entertainment Television India's Indian true crimeanthology seriesCrime Patrol .[21] In , she portrayed Amrit Kakkar Chopra in Papa By Chance opposite Zebby Singh.[22]

Breakthrough and recognition (–)

From to , Sayyad portrayed one of the titular character Drishti Sharma Shergill in Star Plus's popular supernatural drama and romantic television serial Divya Drishti, opposite Adhvik Mahajan and alongside Nyra Banerjee and Mishkat Varma.[23] It proved as a major turning point in her career.[24]

In to post COVID pandemic lockdown, she portrayed Sonam Goel Jaiswal in Star Plus's Lockdown Ki Love Story opposite Mohit Malik.[25][26]

In , Sayyad portrayed Sejal Kotadia Nanda / Mahira Mirza, a Research and Analysis Wing agent, in Spy Bahu opposite Sehban Azim.[27][28][29] For her role as Sejal, Sana nominated for Indian Television Academy Awards and Gold Awards as Best Actress in a Leading Role

Further work (–present)

Since March , she portrayed Dr.

Palki Khurana opposite Paras Kalnawat post generation leap in Zee TV's romantic drama Kundali Bhagya.[30][31][32] However she quit the series in May due to her pregnancy and got replaced by Adrija Roy.[33][34]
