Towards the end of the nineteenth century he painted several large-scale decorative panels.

These works were rendered with hefty strokes, brilliant naturalism, and vibrant color combinations.









Cauchois received several commissions for these larger works and was commissioned by the School of the 7th district to paint four decorative panels representing the flowers of the four seasons.

He continued to paint until his death in Paris on October 11,
